Driving to hunter valley and testing the phone blogging

Wow!! Still finding it a bit hard to realize that I actually crossed the finish line, but I'm sore enough that it must be really true.

I can't thank brother J enough for all the help, cajoling and patience during my psychosis of the past week:)

And thanks so much to all of you for all the text messages, phone calls and emails!!

Special thanks to Marcy and Juan!! Check out Juan's download of the ironman video at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAnst2NL2u8

Level of difficulty on a scale of 1 to 10: 75.3

Oz is incredible, the Ironman experience went way beyond all expectations.

Notables:

My bib # was 686, I came in at position #686.

There are 2 men who have run Ironman Australia 21 times, the entire duration it's been in existence. Now that is an Ironman!

Mental milestones that kept me going...Jarrod and his high fives at every 10k of the run, Michael Cote getting the crowd riled up (thanks again for the help at the Chicago Marathon, Michael), and all the well wishes that came in while I was on the course.

Jarrod and I are off for wine tasting in the Hunter Valley and we'll post a few more fun items.

Thanks again!

Greg
